I was recently introduced to Karen Franklin’s forensic blog–Feedbliz–delivered every few day in your email inbox. Definitely worth the read if you want stay up on what is hot in forensic psychology. She is a controversialist so it is lively reading. Her October 12, 2010, post informs us about Tuesday’s Article 32 (miltary grand jury) proceeding in the case of United States vs. Nidal Malik Hasan, the Army psychiatrist who killed 13 people in a mass homicide at Ft. Hood. The defense has hired Xavier Amador, a New York-based forensic psychologist. Was he mentally ill/insane or a religiosly-motivated terrorist who managed to get through the psychiatry residency at Walter Reed? Is there a difference? The latest news about this high profile case is found in the Dallas Morning News.
