Those who have achieved advanced skill will be recognized by documented recognition. This would include board-certification by the American Board of Professional Psychology, American Board of Assessment Psychology, and recognized proficiency status in the American Psychological Association. Check your assessment psychologist’s credentials before securing their services. When you go to a surgeon for gall bladder or cancer surgery, you look for an expert with documented qualifications. Right? Same for assessment psychologists. Ask for documentation of their specialty training and experience. Quality of training and experience matters.
