I have not posted a message since August 2018, almost a year. But that does not mean that I have not been busy. I have continued full time clinical and forensic practice, conducting psychological assessment research, and writing scholarly projects (list of recent publications listed below). I was appointed as a special consult to the FAA Flight surgeon, supervise graduate student assessment training and doctoral research projects, and do psychological consultations for a commercial airline and law enforcement agencies.
Given the complex nature of my practice, there are daily clinical, forensic, and ethical dilemmas. Monthly, I review the work products of other professionals submitting reports to the courts; some are quite good, some are alarmingly bad with tragic results.
Current topics in various stages of development? Cognitive psychology and the insanity defense, responding to personality tests, and dynamics of self-presentation in clinical and forensic psychological assessment.
